Fantasy Premier League 2016/17

With the season coming up, it is time to make the Fantasy team for the season ahead. Every year, I do the team on the official site. If you dont know what fantasy football is,, its a team that you have every game week and you get points for your player doing stuff. You have a starting  11 and 4 substitutes. This year there has been so many transfers that you can make a whole team of good transferred players. Every Tuesday, I will write about my points from the previous weekend and will talk about my transfers for the week ahead. This week it was hard to make my team as no-one knows who is going to perform well so I had to make my decisions from how well they did last season.

GK – David De Gea

Probably the easiest decision out of all of them. In my opinion he is the best in the league and with Man United strengthening their defense they will hopefully get many clean sheets.

Defender – Nicloas Otamendi

For defenders it is always good to have players from the best teams for £5 million he should be a good player. He also is a guaranteed starter if he don’t get injured.

Defender – Scott Dann

Scott Dann is always a good choice for fantasy football as Crystal Palace are always solid at the back. Crystal Palace’s first 5 games are relatively easy and should get at least one clean sheet.

Defender – Wes Morgan

After last seasons heroics, I believe that Wes Morgan will have another good season even if they don’t win the title. Last seasons title win was because of their defense so I expect them to do well again. For £5 million I think that is a great price.

Defender – Virgil Van Dijk

This player had a wonderful season last year and he transferred half-way through the season. Now he has settled in he should get even better.

Midfielder – Dimitri Payet

One of the most exciting players of the season claimed many points on fantasy lat year and I expect him to do the same this year. However, he is a lot more expensive this year and that may put people off getting him in their team.

Midfielder – Xherdan Shaqiri

The Swiss superstar had a great Euros to put behind a miserable season with Stoke. This year, fantasy has put his price to £6 million which is a bargain for a player of his ability.

Midfielder – Eden Hazard

Hazard had the worst season of his career last year and he’ll want to put it behind him. He did well in the Euros and I believe he’ll want to prove the haters wrong by having a good season.

Midfielder – Sofiane Feghouli

The new West Ham signing is a relatively unkown player so that is why Feghouli has such a low price (£5.5 million). I think that he will be a first team player so he should do well.

Striker – Romelu Lukaku

Romelu Lukaku is always a popular pick in fantasy because of his great form every year. Also, if he goes to Chelsea, his price should increase so I could make some profit.

Striker – Sergio Aguero

The best striker in the Premier League is always a must for my team. Last season, he was injured for most the games and he still challenged the top scorer award. Hopefully, he wont get injured and will have a great season.

Substitute GK – Steve Mandanda

For £4.5 million he is a great backup especially if he is first team for Crystal Palace.

Substitute Defender – Gamboa

He is the cheapest defender on the game and will start some games.

Substitute Midfielder – Granit Xhaka

For a new signing he can be a good backup

Substitute Striker – David Nugent

He should play alongside Negredo each week so if either of my Strikers get injured he is there.
